The Fucci Company:
Taking the worry out of Retirement.
/ By Mj Gladding 10.09.06 Getting old scares everyone. You start to notice fine lines, aches in places that never used to ache, new music becomes painful to hear and you start phrases with "kids these days." It's an awful feeling. One of the most difficult things to do is to come to the realization that your parents are "elderly" and can no longer take care of themselves and their home like they used to. So what do you do?
Your dad passed away a few years ago, and your mom just cannot manage the burden of being a homeowner any longer. You have asked her to move in with you but she refuses because she does not want to place a burden on you. She is still living her life, she just cannot maintain the exterior of the house, mowing, trimming, snow shoveling, all the things that it takes to run a house not to mention that it is getting more and more difficult for her to get up and down the stairs without her arthritis acting up. So what do you do?
1) The Fucci Company has developed several divisions to help
This will surely be atough time for everyone. First, your mom
can visit our rental office located at 6 Regency Manor in Rutland. The Fucci
Company manages and rents apartments at Parker House Apartments in Rutland
City. Parker
House is an apartment complex that is designed for seniors and the disabled.
It has a community room, daily activities and evening supper. This
enables your mom to live on her own, and have an active social life without
the physical burden of maintaining a home. This is not an assisted living
facility, just a simpler way of life where rent is dependant on your mom's
income. She would pay 30% of her monthly income. Living on social security
is difficult. During these times when fuel costs are outrageous, gas prices
are soaring, and the cost of living continues to rise, people living on a
fixed income are the ones who suffer the most. Parker
House residents pay 30% of their monthly income and this covers all utilities.
2) Now there is your mom's house to contend with.
You certainly cannot afford
to pay for it, but mom is reluctant to let go of it. So what do you do? The
Fucci Company property management department will
go to the house, evaluate it for rental potential, advertise the house
for rent and screen potential tenants to ensure reliability. All repairs and maintenance are taken care
of by the Fucci Company Property Management team. We take care of everything
so that your mom no longer has to worry.
3) When your mom finally realizes that it is time to
sell
The
Fucci Company has a sister company, Century
21 Premiere Properties that will guide her through the process of listing and selling
her house, thereby giving her additional security so that she may continue out her retirement without
having to worry about finances or maintaining a big home.
